Our vineyard recommendations are based on the quality of the wine produced
in the domaine or chateau and the enthusiasm of the winemaker. Lots of info

The French autoroute is something very different to our motorway - yes you
may have to pay a toll fee (peage) but outside Paris and Lyon and the main
French holiday weekends, the autoroute is generally a pleasure to drive -
not overcrowded, plenty of "aires" to stop and picnic or rest.
Accommodation in France ranges from quirky small hotels to bland but reliable
formula brands, some genuinely superb B&B, to grand hotels with great
facilities and restaurants. We try to provide useful info on the hotels,
accommodation, gastronomy and whats on in the area.
We are particular fans of the Southwest of France, its wine domaines, its
gastronomy and landscape. Although getting more popular it retains a real
sense of "la France profonde" or deepest France
